OIF 7

Hey Everyone! I know its been a minute since I posted a new blog. I am currently in Iraq for the next 12 months. Everything is going great. We have a PX, Chow Hall, MWR, Gym, and Laundry Service with a a few extras thrown in. I am getting right and staying focused. I am trying to lose 50 lbs this year and score a 200 on my PT Test. Oh and I have got to get my SGT by the end of this rotation. Davyn is doing good from what I hear. He is walking independently now and says a few words but not alot but it will come with time I guess. I love my boo boo and I miss him like crazy. I can't wait to get back and play mommy again and spoil him rotten. Here is my address out here if anyone would like to write me or anything.

Finally Home

I am finally home in Texas. I have had such a great vacation with Davyn. We have just been chilling around the house and cuddling. ( He loves giving me kisses and calling me Momma) I was surprised to hear the talking and see the great walking that he has been doing. I am not going to lie the first time I got to see him walk to me I broke down and cried. We work so hard with these kids and when they accomplish something like walking it is a amazing moment that you just feel so proud. Well I will post pics later because my camera was left in GA and I have my moms right now.

Wierdo

I thought everyone would enjoy this picture. I was a little scared at first but Davyn is just a wierd little kid and gets kicks out of the wierdest stuff. My dad briefly for a second flips him upside down and Davyn just laughs uncontrolably.

TO BE or NOT TO BE?

I have been thinking alot lately about the military....I am about 2 years away from my ETS date which is Jan. 10, 2012. I need to make a decision on whether of not I wanna be a civilian or remain in the military. My plan is to deploy one last time and while I am deployed save my money, and get certified as a paralegal so I can work full time once I get out and go to school using my GI Bill. I mean yeah it will be a little harder, but I need to live a normal life. I want to see my son grow up. Though the military is a fine choice to because I know I am financially secure and will have great medical coverage for Davyn, but I will never really get to be a mommy to him. I guess both have there pro and cons. What to do?

SiTtInG LiKe A ChAmP

Look at him world! My little man is sitting like a champ. I know he is a little late at 17 months, but Davyn has always done things in his own time. I want to thank my parents Molly and Ray Garza, and Project Tyke in Katy, Tx for working with him. He is doing great, and I am so proud of him. I wish I could be there to see every little milestone, but the Army just doesn't let time permit. I will be back in Oct. 2010 to be reunited with Davyn. I can't wait to see him show off all his "stuff" at that point.
